Sims was born May 24, 1845, making her stay of this earth 83 years, 8 months and 26 days. Married John Sims, June 5, 1865, and to this union were bon 14 children 4 died in infancy, and two daughters died in later year. Her companion and 8 children survive her one son. J. A. Sims, Miss. Sophronia Sims, and Mrs. Lovie Harris, Lineville, Ala., R. 2. Mrs. T. A. Bennett, Delta, Ala., R. 2, Mrs. A.E. Gamell, Anniston, Ala., R. 3, Elizabeth Sims, Pyriton, Ala a. 2: Ada Clifton, Detroit Ala., and Mrs. Lilia Barnes, Driftwood, Okla. Aunt Sallie, as she was better known, had 73 grandchildren 95 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. 8 children and most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn. Departure, yet we realize God is alive and all-powerful, and merciful to our unrighteousness, and knows what is best for all concerned. And we must bow in humble submission to His Holy and Heavenly will and know that He is God and does all things right and after the council of his own will and has a wise purpose in calling our loved one's home. However, it is hard for us to give them up, yet God is able to bind up the broken-hearted and reconcile us to his providential dealings toward us. All I could say to the bereaved, is to not grieve after Aunt Sallie, for we are sure she is sweetly resting in the. arms of Jesus, in whom she put her trust. Aunt Sallie was confined to her home most of the time for 7 year and endured her suffering and lonely hours with patience and Christian fortitude. She was a good mother a good neighbor and friend, loved by all that knew her best. She made if public profession of her faith in her earl life., and lived an exemplary life until death, and passed away with smile. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. W. Wellburn in presence of a large and attentative congregation of sorrowing relatives and friends, then laid to rest in Providence Cemetery, 8 miles from Lineville, Ala., on the Lineville and Delta Road, to await the morning of the resurrection, to be raised and fashioned like the glorious body of Christ to rest, and reign with Him in peace and happiness throughout an endless Eternity. May God ever bless Uncle John, her companion, and all the bereaved family and friends with every needed blessing that would be for their good and Gods glory, is the humble prayer of a friend.
