Services for Mrs. Esther Theona Sims, 85, of Delta will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at 
Delta Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Riddle and Rev. G.D. Waites 
officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Methodist Church Cemetery with 
Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mrs. Sims died Sunday at 
Stringfellow Hospital in Anniston after a short illness. Survivors include one 
daughter, Mrs. Esther Faye Robertson of Lineville; five sons, Hartford Sims of 
Delta, Harvell Sims of Oxford; Ellis Sims, Buel Sims and Bradford Sims, all of 
Anniston; one sister, Mrs. Buenia Hill of Alexander City; 13 grandchildren; 23 
great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be 
grandsons. Mrs. Sims was the wife of the late J.C. Sims. She was a native of 
Clay County and homemaker. She was a member of the Delta Baptist Church. The 
body will be at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
