Anniston Star
Funeral services were conducted. this afternoon for J. C. Sims, age 50, of Delta, 
who ended his life with A shotgun early Sunday night, interment was in the 
Providence Church Cemetery with the Odd Fellows and Masons of Delta, of which 
Sims was a member, conducting the services, Jones directed. Surviving are his 
wife, five sons Ellis, Bradford, Hartford, Ezell and Buell; a daughter, Miss 
Esther Fay Sims; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Sims of Delta; four brothers, 
Cecil of Ashland, Ernest and Max well of Anniston and Toland of Lineville and 
seven sisters, Mrs. Damon Brooks of Anniston, Mrs. Lindsey Dunston, Mrs. A. H. 
Gaither, Mrs. Dallas Hill, Mrs. Harvey Allen and Mrs. M. W. Perry, all of 
Lineville and Mrs. T. K. Miller of Oxford.
