Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sims, 63, were held at Concord Baptist 
Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6th, conducted by Reverends David Craft, D. 
Hurst, J. R. Brown and James Forest with Blair Funeral Directors in charge of 
arrangements. Pallbearers were James Lock, Vinson Sprayberry John Edward Sim 
Clifford Shaddix. K. Mitchell, J. T. Watts. Mrs. Sims passed away at the home of 
her son, Grady Sims, at Highland. She was a member of Manning Chapel 
Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. R. A. Sims, 
Lineville two sons, Grady, Lineville Robert, Talladega; one daughter, Mrs. Ted 
Peek, Lineville, mother, Mrs. R. L. Watts, Talladega; two brothers, four sisters 
and six grandchildren.
