Anniston Star
Services for R.A. Sims, 84, of Lineville were Sunday at Concord Baptist Church 
with the Rev. D. Hurst and the Rev. E.E. Miller officiating. Burial was in the 
adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mr. Sims 
died Friday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include two sons, Grady Sims of 
Lineville and Robert Sims of Talladega; a sister, Mrs. Lassie D. Culpepper of 
Opelika; a brother, John Allen Sims of Stewartville; six grandchildren and seven 
greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Terra! Sims, Jerry Lee Sims, Sims 
Peek, Teddy Peek, John Sims and Robert Sprayberry. Mr. Sims was a native and 
lifelong resident of Clay County and a member of Mannings Chapel Congregational 
Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer.
