Sister Smith was the mother of ten children, seven daughters and three sons, survive to mourn the death of the beloved mother. Sister Smith departed this life February 12th, 1905. Four members of the family were sick with pneumonia at the time of her death, the earth was covered with snow and the weather was extremely cold. All the circumstances contributed to make it a sad funeral occasion, The abundant grace of God alone was sufficient to enable the bereaved to survive this shock. The shadows still linger; about the home and none but those who have passed this, way know how to sympathize with the bereaved. May the God of light, whose love is abundant, drive v away the clouds and prepare the bereaved for the happy reunion that waits those who die in the Lord. Affectionately, J. R. Stodghill.
