J. Smith, a well-known young man in this community, died at the residence of his parents one mile south of town last Sunday morning at 5:00 o'clock. At the time of his death the deceased was 37 years of age, having been born on Sept. 1, 1871. In his boyhood days he united with the M. E. Church South at this place and had lived the life of a consistent Christian. He was made a mason on July 17, 1897, and ever walked as such. His remains were interred at the Lineville cemetery with Masonic honors Monday morning, Revs. J. H. Vann and R. A. Speer conducting the services......
