Ashland Progress
Mrs. Nancy Smith, 76, died Monday night at the home of her son, A. T. Smith, in 
the Bluff Spring community, after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 
the Mt. Ararat cemetery, conducted by Rev. Grady Birchfield, after which the body 
was laid to rest, Blair directing. She is survived by four sons, one daughter, 
one brother and one sister. Pallbearers were W. E. Allen, S. J. Allen, J. W. 
Allen, Ode Strickland, Sell Strickland and Harvell Smith.
