Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County with the Revs. Sherman Harper and Zander Riddle officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Gray, Brown Service Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband. Denson Smith; three daughters, Mrs. E. O. Jeffers. Mrs. C. C. McCombs and Mrs. R. L. Turner, all of Oxford: five sons, Sam Smith of Anniston, Doyle and Frank Smith of Oxford. J. C. Smith of Saks and Ike Smith of Heflin; two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Jackson of Anniston and Mrs. Rav Clark of Covington. Ga., 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Darrell White, Olen Ingram, Delmar Jeffers, Cecil Smith, Robert Cobb and Clifford Kellem. Mrs. Smith had lived in Calhoun County all her life and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. The body will he in state at the residence until one hour before services.
