Roanoke Leader
Mr. James Dave Smith, age 75, Wedowee Rt. 1, passed away at his home Monday 
morning, Oct. 31, at six o'clock. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife and three 
sons, J. C. Smith of Wedowee, N. D. Smith of Oak Ridge, and Dewey B. Smith of the 
U. S. Army, eight grandchildren; one brother, Marion Smith of Mt. Pleasant, 
Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Stephens of Sylacauga. Funeral services for Mr. 
Smith will be conducted Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the Moriah Church 
near Delta, with the Rev. Robert Ingram officiating. Interment will be in the 
church cemetery. Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
