Ashland Progress
James Arthur Smith, 50, Clay County native, resident of La nett, died at 
Columbus, January 25. Funeral and burial services were conducted by the Rev. 
Charles Jordon and Rev. Elmon Knight at County Line Baptist Church Sunday 
afternoon, January 27. Blair Funeral Directors were in charge.
Family members include the wife, Mrs. Myrtle Smith, a daughter, Mrs. Janette 
Bucehe resident of Marshall Texas, a son James L. Smith, Wadley, two sisters, two 
brothers. Pallbearers were James E. Hyler, Nelson Whitman, Price, Bobby, G. and 
Carlton Nunn.
