Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Lee Smith. 61, of Ashland Rt. 3, who passed away at 
Ashland Clinic on the morning of September 27th, were held at Prospect Church on 
September 28th at 10 o'clock. Reverends Grady Harris, Grady Birchfield and E.
L. Wheeles officiated. Interment was in nearby cemetery. Blair was in charge of 
arrangements. Pallbearers were John Powell, Dwight Powell, Hiram Powell, Hollis 
Powell, Hoyt Powell and Winston Wheeles. Survivors include her husband, two 
daughters, Mrs. Robert Wheeles and Mrs. Winford Carr. Six brothers, seven 
grandchildren.
