Lineville Headlight
Mrs. A. T. Sparks, aged 85 years, died at her home in the Oak Grove community May 
21. The deceased, who before her marriage was Miss Nancy Newsome, daughter of the 
late Silas Newsome, was born in Coweta County, Georgia, but came to this county 
with her parents when quite a child, where she lived the remainder of her days. 
About 62 years ago she married the late A. T. Sparks. She was a member of the Mt. 
Olive Baptist church, and was an estimable woman, numbering her friends by the 
score. She will be sorely missed by the young people of whom she was an especial 
friend. The funeral services were held at Union Baptist church and conducted by 
Rev. S. J. Ingram and Rev. Jas. A. Shadix. The remains were interred in the Union 
cemetery............
