Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary Beulah Sparks died early Wednesday morning, May 6, at Lineville Nursing 
Home, following several months illness Mrs. Sparks, age 83, a native of Clay 
County, a resident of Ashland Route, had made her home with her children until it 
became necessary to have regular nursing care. Funeral services were held at 
Blairs Funeral Chapel, Thursday, May 7th, 1959, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Earl 
Gordon and Elder Kelley officiating. Burial was in Macedonia cemetery. Survivors 
are two sons, M. F. Sparks, Lineville, and H. B. Sparks, Talladega; one daughter, 
Mrs. Stell Young of Ashland; three half-sisters, and one-half brother. 
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
