Ashland Progress
Mrs. Nonnie Ophelia Sprayberry, 47, died at 3:00 o'clock Sunday morning, May 4, 
at her home. She was a devoted Christian. Funeral services were held at Bethany 
church Sunday afternoon, with the pastors, Revs. H. T. Tapley and G. D. Hunt. 
Mrs. Sprayberry was native of this community, has lived here all her life 
Surviving are her husband, V. E. Sprayberry, two daughters. Miss Zema 
Sprayberry, Mrs. Jewel Chaney, seven sons Dewey, Doris, Elster, Van Buren, 
Elbert, Oakley and Howard Sprayberry; five brothers, Bill Fuller, Wadley, Ala., 
Bob Fuller, Cragford, Ala.; Monroe Fuller, Elba, Ala.; Virgil Fuller, Texas; 
Mance Fuller, Bessemer, Ala., and one sister, Mrs. Emily Holdridge, Texas. Mr. 
V. E. Sprayberry and children extend their thanks and express their deep 
appreciation to each and all who were faithful and kind during her illness. They 
are also thankful for the beautiful flowers contributed. Written by Lucille
