Anniston Star
T. W. Spurlin. 81, a former resident of Alexandria, died this morning at 7:30 at 
a hospital in Tuscaloosa after a long illness. Survivors include three sons, J. 
C. Spurlin of Blue Mountain, A. C. Spurlin of Lineville and E. C. Spurlin of 
Alexandria, with whom he had previously made his home; 14 grandchildren and 23 
great-grandchildren. Mr. Spurlin was originally from Clay County, and he will be 
buried in Union Cemetery there. The body will be at the home of his son, E C. 
Spurlin in Alexandira, before funeral services. Plans are to be announced.
