He told me many times during the last two weeks of his illness that he could not tell the greatness of his suffering. He then would repeat some good hymn ana say, "I long to go and be at rest. All is well." He leaves a wife and five children, together with relatives and friends to mourn his departure. He was a Missionary Baptist. Papa, dear, when I kissed you farewell, I had no hope of meeting you on this earth again, but I have a bright hope of meeting you on Cannan's happy shore, where there will be no more parting. I sometimes dream, your pleasant smiles Still on me sweetly fall, your tones of love I faintly hear My name in sadness call at I know that you are happy in my heart is very desolate to think that you are gone.
