....Brother Edmond B. Stephens was born in Upson County, Ga., on the 26th day of 
December 1821 and died on the 24th day of January 1897 at Lineville, Ala. As was 
wrote the sketch of our departed brother memory stretches over a period of thirty 
years during which time, he was a consistent member of this Lodge. He was a 
consecrated Christian, a bright mason, a devoted husband and a loving father. 
Being equipped thus, when life's battles came, he was prepared to meet them 
fortified by grace divine he was ready for every emergency and qualified for 
efficient service in every sphere of life...
