Ashland Progress
Shelly Jackson Stephens, 61, died at his home near Delta Wednesday, Oct. 17. 
Funeral services have been announced for Friday at Shiloh-Delta church. Rev. W. 
E. Wellborn will conduct the last rites assisted by Elder B. B. Finley. Blair 
will direct. Mr. Stephens survivors are the wife, Mrs. Nettie Stephens four sons, 
David Shelly Wheeler and William H. one stepson, Ernest Summerlin, and one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Jessie Stephens. Other survivors include two brothers, Leroy 
and Hannibal Stephens; two sisters. Miss Sally and Miss Irene Stephens, and three 
grandchildren.
