W. (Rillar) Stephens. 87, at the Barfield Baptist Church Sunday at o'clock. The Rev. Jesse Steele and the Rev; Clyde Latham officiated. Blair Funeral Home, Lineville, was in charge and burial was ln the Barfield Cemetery. Mrs. Stephens died at her home near Barfield Friday following an illness of several months. She was the oldest member of the Barfield Baptist Church and was an active member as long as she was able to attend. She had been a member of the Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She had lived in Clay County all her life; Mrs. Stephens had nine brothers and sisters to precede her in death. She is survived by her husband, R.W. Stephens. Rt. 2, Lineville. whom she married almost 69 years ago; two daughters, Mrs. George Steed, Lineville. Mrs. Bertha Fuller, RU2, Lineville; one son. K. V. Stephens, Cropwell, 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Pallbearers were Archie Poole, Charles Upchurch, Everste Denson, Olen Denson, Bernard Spurlin, and Bill Henry.
