Our Mountain Home
J. M. Stevenson, Sr., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. C. Riley, about 
two miles south of town, Wednesday evening.  He was one of the oldest citizens of 
this community and he leaves a host of relatives and friends behind. He had been 
in very feeble health for several months and his death was not at all unexpected. 
The burial took place at Liberty cemetery, where several members of his family 
had already been laid to rest.
