Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mellcina A. Stewart, age 78, years and a few months died at the home of Mr. 
G. W. Stewart in the Providence community Saturday, after an illness of about a 
week's duration.  Mrs. Stewart is survived by three sons and two daughters. Two 
of her sons. Frank Stewart and D. M. Stewart resides in Little Rock, Ark., and 
the other Oscar M. Stewart, resides at Greenwood. S.C. Her daughters, Mrs. Hattie 
Stewart and Mrs. Mattie Yates, reside in Clay County. All of them except one son. 
D. M. Stewart were present at her funeral. The funeral service was held Sunday 
and the interment was in the Providence cemetery. The deceased belonged to a 
prominent and highly esteemed family.
