Ashland Progress
Mrs. Margaret Leola Stockdale of Ashland Rt. 3, passed away at her home on Jan. 
9th in the early morning at the age of 81. Funeral services were held at Blairs 
Chapel at 2 o'clock p.m. on Jan. 10th with the Reverends A. A. Jacobs and James 
Duke officiating. Interment was in Sardis Cemetery with Blair Funeral Directors 
in charge. Pallbearers were Frances Smith, J. B. Smith, Wilson Baird, Graham 
Smith, Arthur Atwell, Leonard Stockdale. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. 
Willis Atkins, Mrs. Elbert Wesley. Three sons, M. H., H. W., and M. O., 
Stockdale; several nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-
grandchildren.
