Anniston Star
A 24-year-old Ashland man was listed Saturday as the State's first Labor Day 
weekend traffic fatality following a 4:30 p.m. two-car accident on a Clay County 
highway. Ledford Eugene Strickland, 24, a passenger in a car driven by Donald Ray 
Young of Cragford, was listed by State Troopers as the fatality in the accident, 
that occurred one-half mile south of Ashland on County Road 35.

Additional Comments:
He is buried at Lystra Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
