T. C. Strickland, after an illness of several months, departed this life March the 20th 1914 and his remains were interred at Union Cemetery by brethren and friends. He was born in Clay County on June 12, 1859, and was married at the age of about 20 years to Miss Martha Jane Pritchet on Dec. 25, 1879. To this union there were born 7 children of whom two have gone on to the great beyond. He joined the Baptist church in the year 1894, and he lived a faithful member until death. He was always willing to help a brother or a friend in time of need he was always ready to held the church or the community in which he lived. He leaves a widow, 4 sons and one daughter, several brothers and sisters and a host of friends to mourn his departure. Therefore be it resolved that we, the Baptist church and the K. of P. order, did hold memorial services on the 5th day of July in memory of Bro. Strickland and to his bereaved; family we extend oar heartful sympathy and bid them trust a great and all loving Father who doeth all thing well. Though he is dead his works still live and follow him. (2) Be it further resolved that we send a copy of these resolutions to The Lineville Headlight for publication. J. F. Dempsey and W. M.
