Anniston Star
A fourteen-year-old daughter of Tom Stricklin, well to do farmer who lives near 
Fish Head, was burned to death a few days ago. She was burning brush on new 
ground field when her clothing caught on fire The father and mother were both 
quite severely burned in trying to extinguish the flames. The young lady died 
about twelve hours after the accident in great agony.

Fish Head Valley was on the Clay/Cleburne County line
