Anniston Star
Walter F. Striplin, 89, of Delta, Rt. 1, died Tuesday at Cleburne Hospital after 
a long illness Funeral services were held today at Bethel Baptist Church in Clay 
County, with the Rev. Richard Crowson and the Rev. Elmer Wheeles officiating. 
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Dry den Funeral Home in charge. 
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. A. W. Ligon of Oxford; two sons, G. D. 
Striplin of Anniston and Gordon Striplin of Delta four grandchildren, three 
great-grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.
