Our Mountain Home 
Near Delta, in Clay County a few days ago, M. F. Summerlin was in the woods 
cutting timber. One of the trees felled lodged on another. When the second tree 
was cut the two come down together, and under one of them a son of Mr. Summerlin 
was caught. The little fellow's neck was broken, and his bead crushed, and death 
was instantaneous. He was not more than 10 or 12 years of age.

Additional Comments:
Earnest L. Summerlin was born Dec 17, 1892, he died Feb 22, 1904. He was the 
Moses Finley Summerlin & Mary A. Haynie Jenkins. He is buried Shiloh-Delta Clay 
County AL.
