Anniston Star
Mrs. J. D. Summerlin, age 28 who was taken-from her home at 1009 Commerce Avenue 
to Garner Hospital Thursday afternoon in a serious condition, died early this 
morning. She had been ill for several days. Funeral services will be held at 
Shiloh-Delta Church at 11 o'clock Saturday. Rev. Pembleton Bean will officiate, 
and burial will be to the church cemetery with Brown directing. Mrs. Summerlin is 
survived by her husband two daughters, Immogene and Joyce Summerlin, her parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Cofield who live at Delta, six brothers and three, sisters, 
Mrs.  J. S. Saxton of Oxford, Miss Iris Cofield, Anniston, and Miss Fannie 
Cofield of Delta.
