Funeral rites Were held for J. D. Summerlin, 52, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 
where he was a member, June 25, conducted by Rev. B. W. Mathews and Eld. B. B. 
Finley. Blair in charge. Mr. Summerlin was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. 
Ida Cofield Summerlin on December 29, 1932. He is survived by two daughters, 
Imogene Summerlin, Hammond, and Mrs. W. R. Miller, Anniston: his mother, Mrs. 
Mary Summerlin and a brother, Louie Summerlin, both of Shiloh-Delta and two 
sisters, Mrs. O. H. Stephens and Mrs. H. N. Daugherty. Pallbearers were Frank 
Ingram, Russell Summerlin, Buford Daugherty, Pascal Daugherty, Buford Johnson, 
and Presly Ingram.
