Rt 1, died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Oxford after a short illness. Service will be held from the Union Baptist Church in Clay County at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Irwin Strictland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Gray Brown Service Mortuary in charge. Survivors include her husband. Emerson Tate of Delta, Rt 1; three sons, Levi Tate of Delta, Lester Tate of Anniston and Owens Tate of Millerville; three daughters, Mrs. Delona Burt of Oxford, Mrs. Elcora Yarns of Ohatchee and Mrs. Ella Morrison of Anniston; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Snider, Mrs. Ethel Roberts, Mrs. Minnie Motes and Mrs. Velma Summerhill, all of Anniston, and Mrs. Lelah Jenkins of Sylacauga; 41 grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Jim Dempsey, D. A. Deese, A. A. Bell, Euell Millam, Jim Frank Dingier, and Merril Bell. Mrs. Tate was a resident of Delta for most of her life.
