F. Dean, near Anniston night and her remains were brought to Pleasant Grove, a few miles north of Ashland, for interment Monday. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Gardener Hall, of Anniston. Mrs. Tate was 91 years of age and had been a widow since 1867. She is survived by two sons and two daughters. A. B. Tate, of Ashland. A. W. Tate of Birmingham, Mrs. W. F. Dean and Mrs. Emma Pitts. The deceased spent a considerable portion of her time at the home of her son here in Ashland and had only recently gone to her daughter's. On Friday before her death she wrote her son, requesting him to come to visit her and stating that it would be his last opportunity to see her alive. She evidently realized that the end of her long pilgrimage was at hand and she passed peacefully away two days later.
