James Wright and the Rev. C.R. Staples officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Garrett's Funeral Home in charge. The procession will leave at 2 p.m. from the home of Willie Edward 'Puddin' Tatum. Mr. Tatum died Thursday at the University of Alabama Hospitals at Birmingham. Survivors include his companion, Ms. Hattie Clark of Roanoke; his father, Willie Edward Tatum of Lineville; his stepmother, Mrs. Betty Tatum of Lineville; four sisters, Ms. Billie Nell Pilot and Ms. Vanessa Tatum, both of Anniston and Ms. Helen Roberson and Ms. Annie Tatum, both of Chicago; and two brothers, Elton Pilot of Anniston and Charlie Tatum of Atlanta. Mr. Tatum, formerly of Clay County, was owner of Tatum 's Garage Shop in Roanoke and also worked for Preston-Garfield Ford Company. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Tilda Tatum.
