Alexander City Outlook
Our dear grandfather died on January 22nd, 1922. He was sick but a short while. 
He was an old soldier of the Civil War. He was born in Georgia on April 23, 1838, 
being 83 years of age. He married in 1860. Has been living in Alabama most of his 
life. He leaves a wife 84 years of age, 5 children, 3 daughters, and 2 sons; 42 
grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren to mourn his death. He will be missed 
by all.  But we hope to meet him in the sweet home beyond. He was a member of the 
church 33 years at Bethany in Clay County, where he was buried. We miss him from 
his place we miss thy loving will and welcome hand so dear. We thank the 
neighbors and friends for their good help and kindness, through the sickness of 
our grandfather. A granddaughter MRS. IDA MOORE.
