Sara Taunton 88 died at 6:20 pm Tuesday at Lanier Memorial Hospital. Funeral will 
be at 4 pm today at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Clay County. Burial will be in 
Bethany Church Cemetery in Clay County. Mrs Taunton was born on Oct 7, 1879 in 
Clay County and had lived in Langdale the past nine years. Survivors include six 
daughters Mrs. Lizzie McConnell Alexander City, Mrs. Belle Green Ashland, Mrs. 
Resa Curry Modesto Calif and Miss Eva Taunton, Mrs. Essie Roughton and Mrs. Henry 
Bailey all of Langdale, four sons Herman Taunton Junction City Kan., Sam Taunton 
Cragford, Marvin Taunton Thomaston Ga., Elza Taunton Capron Va., 23 grandchildren 
and 28 greatgrandchildren.
