Anniston Star
 Idus W. Thrash, 70. of Oxford, Rt. 9. died Friday at Anniston Memorial Hospital 
after a short illness. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel 
Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. Arcus Adams officiating. Burial will 
be in the adjoining cemetery with Miller Funeral Home in charge. Survivors 
include his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Thrash of Oxford, eight sons. Vinton Thrash of 
Anniston. Eugene Thrash and Grady Thrash, both of Fairborn Ohio, Albert Thrash 
of Xenia Ohio, and Doyle Thrash, Jerry Thrash, Owens Thrash and Johnny Thrash, 
all of Oxford; and fifteen grandchildren Pallbearers will be K. V. Crosson. 
Garvis Cross. Benny Easterwood. Hillman Burt, Jodie Pate. Frank Cobb and Jerry 
Vice He was a resident of Calhoun County the past 25 years and was a native of 
Clay County The body will. remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to 
services.
