Clay County Advance
Mrs. R. L. Thurman died on last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Dr. J. W. 
Jordan in our town, after a lingering illness of several months. Mrs. Thurman was 
a young woman of perhaps 20 years of age and leaves a young babe only a few 
months old, which makes her death doubly sad. She was a Christian lady; a devoted 
wife, a fond and loving young mother, and a kind neighbor and friend. Our entire 
community mourn with the young husband and relatives in this their sad 
bereavement.
