Alexander City Outlook
The many friends of Mrs. Tidwell will regret to learn of her death which occurred 
Monday morning at the Russell Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services 
were held from the Olive Branch Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock 
with Rev. Crowder, Rev. Pless and Rev. Carwyle officiating. Besides her husband, 
J. R. Tidwell, Mrs. Tidwell is survived by one son, Jesse Tidwell of the U. S. 
Navy, who is now in the Southwest Pacific. Also, four daughters, Mrs. J.W. King 
of Camden, Mrs. O. H. Simpson, of Alexander City; Mrs. W. H. Browning, of 
Alexander City; and Miss Marcelle Tidwell, of Alexander City; and three 
grandchildren. Interment was in Olive Branch cemetery, McGhee Funeral Home 
directing.
