Tidwell, known as Jack, died suddenly at his home near Motley Friday, Sept. 18. He had not been well for a few days but was up and assisted his wife in preparing the noon meal. As he sat down to the table, he remarked that he was blind and died instantly without speaking again. Mr. Tidwell was a Christian, and member of the Baptist church at Motley. He was a kind and loving husband and father always interested in everyone and made his home happy. Funeral services were at Motley church Saturday, conducted by Revs. Tapley, of Alexander City, and Dunn, of Wadley. Interment was made in Motley cemetery. Mr. Tidwell leaves to mourn his death, his wife, seven children, six grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Mr. Tidwell was 63 years of age and for many years had been a resident of Motley community. He will be greatly missed. A Friend.
