Funeral rites were held on April 28th at 11 o'clock a.m. at Macedonia Church, conducted by Elder B. B. Finley and Elder Beamon Denney. Interment was in adjacent cemetery with Blair Funeral Directors in charge, Mrs. Tinney was a member of First Baptist Church and was 85 years old. Pallbearers were Macon Corbitt, Gipson Studdard, Walter Tinney, James Tinney, James Crutchfield, Reuben Tinney. Survivors include her husband, Joe A. Tinney; one sister, Mrs. Annie Machen, Dallas, and several nieces and nephews. Other survivors are four stepsons, Reuben Tinney, J. I. Tinney, Ashland; Walter Tinney, Riverview; James Tinney, Wichita, five stepdaughters, Mrs. Evelyn Corbitt, Ft. Mitchell; Mrs. Ethel Workman, Cusseta; Mrs. Elsie Butler, Mrs. Lola Studdard, Talladega; Mrs. Clara Crutchfield, Langdale; 22 step-grandchildren.
