Tinney, a well-known citizen of Clay County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O.N. Morris, in this city. Sunday morning about o'clock, after an illness of about two weeks, although his health had been failing for quite awhile. Mr. Tinney came to this city about two months ago to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Morris and was taken ill and continued to grow worse until the hour mentioned when death came to relieve him of his sufferings. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church and was 60 years, of age. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him, and much sympathy goes out to the bereaved loved ones. The body was taken to his old home near Mellow Valley, where it was interred Monday afternoon. the funeral services were, conducted by Rev. Arnold Smith, of this city, and his old pastor at Mellow Valley.
