Ashland Progress
Final rites for Mrs. Margaret Beatrice Todd, were held at Concord Baptist Church 
at 10 a.m. on Sept. 13th with Reverends E. G. Hutchens, Dee Hurst and G L. 
Armstrong officiating. Interment was in Ashland Cemetery directed by Blair 
Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Leon Barker, R. Y. Gilbert, G. C. Pace, Guy 
Gibson, K. J. White and Willie Jenkins. Mrs. Todd passed away on Sept 12 at the 
age of 77, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Carpenter, with whom she had 
resided since the passing of her husband. She was a member of Concord Baptist 
Church. Survivors include one brother, R. L. Carpenter, Ashland; one sister, 
Mrs. Irene Haynes, Anniston; one stepson, Wilburn Todd, Lineville; seven 
stepdaughters, Mrs. Kermit Fields, Mrs. Earl Whatley, Mrs. Horace Hollingsworth, 
Mrs. Roberta Carpenter, Mrs. Sim Horn, Mrs. Willis Dean, Talladega; Mrs. Bruster 
Birchfield, Montgomery.
