Ashland Progress
Miss Effie Mae Tomlin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Tomlin died at their 
home in Gadsden and her remains were brought to Sardis cemetery for interment 
Sunday. The funeral services were conducted by Rev Mr. Steely who accompanied the 
funeral party. This being the family's old home, a large crowd was present.
