Green Berry Tomlin, 68, a resident of the Perfect Homes community, succumbed to a 
short illness at the Lee County Hospital at 5 p.m. Monday. A resident of Lee 
County for the past 24 years, Mr. Tomlin was a charter member of the Pepperell 
Baptist church. Survivors include the widow: four sons, Groover of Talladega, 
Howard of Notasulga, Hurmas of Childersburg and Bruce Tomlin of St. Louis, two 
daughters, Mrs. I. P. Smith and Mrs. D. C. Hollis, both of Auburn; one sister, 
Mrs. Julia Phillips of Odenville, Ala. Services will be conducted at 2 P.m. 
Wednesday from the Macedonia church of Ashland, with Interment in the adjoining 
cemetery. Rev. N. S. Hardin assisted by H. H. Goodman will officiate. Frederick's 
Funeral Home is to charge of arrangements.
