The Birmingham News
Funeral services for William T. Tompkins, 95, of Trussville, who died Sunday in a 
local hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trussville Southside Baptist 
Church. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Ashland, Roebuck Chapel directing. 
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Morrison of Talladega and Mrs. Ethel 
Meeks of Long Island, N.Y., and five sons, Y. Z. Tompkins and W. C. Tompkins of 
Trussville, G. J. Tompkins of New Orleans, H. J. Tompkins of Miami, and W. A. 
Tompkins of East Moline, Ill. Mr. Tompkins, a native of Omaha, was a retired 
farmer and a member of the Trussville Southside Baptist Church.
