Clay County Advance
The subject of this sketch was born in Henry County Georgia Nov 19th, 1825 and 
died at his home near Idaho this county on April 19th, 1896. At the age of 10 
years, he moved with his parents to Carroll County Georgia, where he grew to 
manhood. Early in life he professed the Christian religion and joined the M. E. 
church south. He was married to Miss Ruth McIntosh October the 25th 1849. 
Thirteen children were born to this union, twelve of whom with his faithful wife, 
are still living to mourn his death...........
