S. Treadwell, a short distance west of Ashland, Thursday afternoon, July 10th, after a long illness. Funeral servers were held Friday afternoon at Sardis Methodist church of which she had been a member for 40 years. The service was conducted by Rev. A. H. Nabors. Mrs. Treadwell is survived by 10 children of this number S. D., H. E., Jno. T., J. W., J. S. and Jesse Treadwell reside in and near Ashland. One son and one daughter reside in Texas, one son in Georgia and one daughter in north Alabama. The entire number of her descendants including children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren are said to number 256. She was a native of Georgia, but the greater part of her long and useful life was spent in Clay County.
