Anniston Star
Simmie J. Triplett, 71, of 2017 McKleroy Anniston, died Wednesday at Anniston 
Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at 
Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. O. V. Sewell officiating. Burial will 
be in Black's Chapel Cemetery, Clay County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. 
Elizabeth Triplett; two sisters, Mrs. Vida Mitchell and Mrs. Fannie Edmondson, 
both of Lineville; four brothers, Marvin Triplett and Earl Triplett, both of 
Lineville, Wesley Triplett of Anniston, and John Triplett of Lynwood, Calif. 
Nephews will be pallbearers. Mr. Triplett was a native of Clay County and a 
member of Black's Chapel Baptist Church. The body will remain at the funeral home 
through services.
