Oscar Hilt "Doc" Upchurch, 64, of Delta, died Wednesday at Clay County Hospital. 
Services were scheduled for today at 3 p.m. at Black's Chapel Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Hobart Murphree and the Rev. James Duke officiating. Burial was to 
be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. 
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cardel Upchurch; a daughter, Miss Shirley 
Johnson of Delta; five sisters, Mrs. Cordie White, Mrs. Odessa East and Mrs. 
Maude Character, all of Lineville, Mrs. Ora Lee Hill of Ashland, and Mrs. Lola 
Denton of Childersburg; two brothers, Newman Upchurch of Lineville, and J. H. 
"Jack" Upchurch of Columbiana, and a grandchild.
