Several years ago, she received a fall and has suffered from a broken hip since that time, having spent good portion of the time in a rolling chair. She had been confined to her bed for a few weeks. At one time she operated a successful millinery business In Lineville. She was the widow of the late Dr. O. K. Waits and is survived by on a sister, Miss Gussie Spikes, who made her home with Mrs. Waits, two brothers, Joe, or LaGrange, and Claude, of Birmingham, several nieces and nephews and several stepchildren. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Lineville at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. H. L. Tidwell with Blair in charge. Pallbearers were, H. J. Holland, H. L. Jackson, E. G. Smith, Ottis McCain, Kyle Huckaby of Lineville, and R.M. Ussery of Ashland. Interment was in the old cemetery.
